At this time we are making available the Massive Prime 10 User Education Bundle. The bundle includes 10 licenses of our flagship product Massive Prime, 12 months maintenance, the Edu version of Ambient, Loco & Stadium Agents, and comprehensive courseware designed to allow easy integration into existing training programs. Please note that Massive Jet is not available for Education, and one (1) tutor or teacher submits support requests for all students at education site.
The Massive Prime Education Bundle is $9,999 USD and additional licenses can be purchased for $899 USD per user.
Courseware and first year Upgrades and Support are included with Massive Prime Educational Licenses. After the first year, the annual cost of renewal is $250 USD per seat.
Massive Fundamentals Courseware
Lessons sit side-by-side with Massive for convenient reference.
This course provides the learner with an introduction to Massive Software.
Students will learn how to use Massive's fuzzy logic interface to create autonomous agents from scratch, beginning with a simple crowd of boxes and eventually creating human agents with motion captured actions. Students are also introduced to rigid body dynamics, geometry skinning, variation, and cloth simulation, giving them a strong overview of Massive's feature set.
This is a 40 hour course including 13 evaluations.
Materials Provided
The Massive Fundamentals courseware set includes:
- HTML "textbook" (Includes 12 chapters containing 31 lessons, and appendices containing command line options, Massive recognized channels, and a glossary.)
- Tutorial movies
- 12 folders of source files needed for textbook exercises, homework, and tests
- 12 homework exercises
- 12 tests and a final exam
- Finished test example files, as an answer key for the instructor
You Will Need
You will need the following resources for this course:
- Students will need access to Massive, on a computer that meets the specifications required by the software. The computer must also have a web browser in order for the students to use the course instructional materials.
- In order to render, students will require access to a RenderMan compatible rendering program that meets the specifications required by Massive (currently, Prman, Air, and 3Delight are supported). Mental Ray is also supported.
- Students will probably need access to Maya or an equivalent 3-D authoring environment in order to generate models and skeletons for practice and tests.
- The instructional materials assume that students have some experience working with 3D modeling and animation. If students do not, they should be encouraged to read a basic text in the field and begin working with animation and modeling software in order to strengthen their understanding of fundamental concepts in 3D.
