Massive 101 9.3.4 now available
Massive 101 9.3.4 adds Arnold log output in the terminal window. Arnold usually outputs log information into the terminal window from which it is called, but when called via the Arnold API from inside Massive 101 this log information was not being display. 9.3.4 fixes this.

Re: How to activate the drawing brush in RBG?
It looks like you are viewing the alpha channel of the terrain map. Go to the Terrain menu and switch off "Alpha channel". Then you will be able to paint on the terrain.

Re: How to activate the drawing brush in RBG?
We're not entirely sure what you're doing here, but if you are attempting to use RGB placement here's how it works. 1a - Load a texture map with coloured areas for where you want the agents either from File > Load terrain map, or by selecting the terrain node in the scene page and browsing for the &...

Re: Will there be support for Mac users?
Unfortunately Massive has not been ported to Mac OS, so the only way to run Massive 101 on a Mac would be Parallels. We haven't tried it ourselves but previously we were able to run Massive in Boot Camp.

Re: Massive 101 starting with only 8 threads
Massive doesn't try to use all available threads, but you can set the number of threads using the -threads command line option. If you don't want to start Massive 101 from the command line then you could start it from a batch script.

Re: Can't write apf/jpg files to project folder
We've traced the problem to internal error handling inside the windows jpeg library. Hopefully we can fix this soon. In the meantime we recommend writing out tif images. They are lossless anyway so they are a better format for most uses.

The link to the video tutorials just leads to this thread looking for the link. The "Video Tutorials" thread is not a link to the video tutorials, it's just a post about the video tutorials not being in the download page. To get to the video tutorials go to "Getting Started" > &...

Re: Watermarks
Hi, I didn't see you warn us anywhere that this software places 2 huge watermarks over the renders saying "massive" This makes this a complete waste of time and effort.... but a decent data gathering game for you.... uninstalled, delete my data and don't contact me again. It says quite cl...

Re: Massive Arnold plugin (massive101_arnold.dll) breaks Arnold Render Settings in Maya 2025–2027 / MtoA 5.6.x
Here's more detail on how to get Massive 101 and Maya both working: 1 - Simplest solution is to install Maya 2027.1 which includes Arnold 7.5.1.1. This is compatible with the Massive 101 Arnold plugins, so rendering with Arnold works for both Massive 101 and Maya. But this doesn't fix the Arnold Ren...
