Massive 101 fails to start
From the logs it looks like you are getting a connection and the message is the result of the activation script exiting early and not sending anything else back to Massive 101. The most likely explanation is that the password is not getting through. It would be useful to know if you are pasting the password or typing it. If you could please try logging in again we might be able get more details about what is going on
I tried logging in again, and this is the result:massive wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2026 7:26 am From the logs it looks like you are getting a connection and the message is the result of the activation script exiting early and not sending anything else back to Massive 101. The username and password are typed and pasted; I've tried both methods, and it gives the same result.
Ok now it looks like the password is getting through but it's not getting approved. It needs to be the same password that you use to log in to this forum. I noticed that you also have an account in our online shop. The online shop has different logins. Perhaps you are using the shop login password and not the forum login password
I've tried logging in with both and neither works.massive wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2026 10:21 pm Ok now it looks like the password is getting through but it's not getting approved. From the logs on the server it still looks like a password problem. So I suggest either of the following:
1 - check your browser's saved passwords to make sure it's what you expect, bearing in mind you may have two saved passwords due to your shop login
2 - use the 'I forgot my password' link on the Massive 101 forum login page to reset your password, then try activating again with the new password.
I have added an insane amount of detailed logging to the activation script. So next time you try to activate your license I will be able to see exactly where in the process it's failing.

I changed my password and wrote it down in Notepad so I wouldn't type it wrong.
I tried logging in again, but it still doesn't work; I get the same message: "Login failed," "Please try again..."
Ok I think I've got it now. The login was failing because phpbb (the code that this forum runs on) authenticates usernames as lower case. So I've modified the activation script accordingly. Please try again now. Hopefully it will work this time. And thanks for your patience Vendetta
It worked, I was able to login successfully.massive wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2026 12:21 am Ok I think I've got it now. But now I have this other problem: after closing Massive and running it again, I get this warning regarding the license.

To temporarily solve this problem, I go to the .massive folder and delete the "license" file, although that forces me to log in again.
It's working correctly now.
Thank you so much for your help.
Massive is finally available to the public.
